This is the first 1911...
This is the first 1911 I've ever purchased. It was a great purchase. The trigger is so smooth and felt recoil is minimal, if not unnoticeable. I'm glad I purchased this gun. I'd highly recommend it.

I purchased one, and...
I purchased one, and fell in love! This gun is a piece of art. its been a bit funny about what ammo it will feed on, but its getting better as i break it in. its a tack driver, and im surprised at how little recoil it has. i get more kick from my glock 30. i love it so much, ive had to get my dad one too lol not difficult to break down, clean, and reassemble. Do yourself a favor and get one!

Love Dan Wesson...
Love Dan Wesson pistols- great triggers, super accurate, quality materials- custom guns at below custom price. This pistol, with the 6" bbl., easily tames the recoil of the 10MM round. I will use this for hunting so it will be digesting full power 10MM's. Another plus is it shoots to point of aim. Two of my 10MM's(Sig and Rem) I had to install taller front sights to lower group enough to be usable for hunting. I couldn't be happier except for one thing- disassembly and reassembly, especially the latter. There is no bushing or hole in the guide rod for disassembly ease. To take slide off, you have to hold the slide back against fairly substantial spring pressure and line up the slide stop with the notch in the slide and then push out the slide stop as you would normally with other 1911's. OK, a little tougher than normal but doable. Now, the tough part- reassembly. You have to barely engage the slide on the frame and then insert spring into the slide and grabbing the gov't. guide rod at the other end, push that against the 10MM spring pressure and try to compress the spring far enough to get the guide rod into the frame in the correct position as the guide rod wants to rotate while doing this. The spring isn't happy either as it keeps popping out of position. WHEW! Without a doubt, toughest 1911 ever I've reassembled. I usually clean my firearms after every use but this pistol may be an exception. The reassembly is difficult enough that I have to knock off a couple points. If you have weak hands, an almost impossible task.
