The Springfield Armory Range Officer Champion is a compact .45 ACP 1911 designed for comfortable everyday carry while retaining the familiar controls and handling of a full-size service pistol. Its forged lightweight alloy frame keeps the unloaded weight to 30 ounces with an empty magazine, while the forged steel Parkerized slide provides a durable, subdued finish. A four-inch stainless steel match-grade bull barrel with a fully supported ramp is fitted to the slide for dependable function and long-term durability. The pistol combines a fiber optic front sight with a low-profile combat rear sight for fast target acquisition and snag-resistant carry. Its Cocobolo double-diamond grips, beavertail grip safety, and thumb safety complete a traditional yet practical carry-oriented 1911 package.
