What a pleasure to...
What a pleasure to shoot! This is now my gun for Conceal/Carry. Trigger action is silky smooth, short reset, the felt recoil negligible. 3 shot groups at 25 yards were within three inches right out of the case. I saw no devolved accuracy when comparing the compact 3.8 40 to the full sized XDM, both outstanding handguns. The 3 Dot Sights are bright and clear. Reacquiring the target after each shot fired was fast and sure. I have medium sized hands and found the grip with the number two backstrap perfect for ease of handling and shooting. The 40 3.8 compact is tolerance tight, and with the smaller magazine very concealable. Safety features are a must and Springfield did not disappoint. I purchased this in December, 2012 and used Buds' Layaway. Even with the gun buying craze going on, Buds shipped this within 5 days of last payment and I was able to pick it up at my FFL 2 business days later. I give Springfield Armory and Buds Gun Shop service the highest of recommendations.
