The Springfield Armory XD(M) 4.5" in .40 S&W pairs a striker-fired design with a compact, rugged all-terrain grip feel and a corrosion-resistant Melonite slide finish. Built with deeper, longer slide serrations for a secure hold, it also features the XD(M) short-travel trigger characteristics aimed at crisp follow-up shots.

This gun is amazing! I just received mine and even though it took about a week to get in it is well worth the wait. I kinda knew that it might take longer than usual to get in but Buds is awesome to work with. They're top notch! I can't say enough about this firearm either. This is my third Springfield but my first XDM. I highly recommend this gun for anyone looking at getting into competitive shooting, plinking, or personal defense. It may be a little big for concealment but it rides great in an OWB holster. And the 16+1 capacity is great in the 40 caliber.
