Springfield XD(m) in 10mm? When I ordered this, I felt sure that it would bridge the gap of capacity and power that I've been looking for. I was pleasantly surprised when my expectations are exceeded. This pistol shoots like a dream, recoil is easily manageable (I don't feel like it's any different than any of my 45acp). This one is an OSP model, which means I'm optics ready when I decide I want to try that… I was going to buy something that was optics ready when I came shopping- I wasn't necessarily wanting a 10mm… when I found this was the best of both worlds? I think it became an necessity to choose this pistol. I'd shot Glock 20's, 1911's, and Glock 22s that were optics ready. The balancing act of capacity vs comfort vs quality is always an internal battle with me as a buyer- but the XDM does not make you choose. The comfort of a 1911, the reliability of the Glock 20, the looks/proper grip angle of a 1911, the price point of a Glock… I mean, this makes this pistol easy to choose in any category!\r \r If you are reading this and are afraid of 10mm recoil? You probably are not alone. I, for one, was hearing about how unpleasant to shoot this caliber. I decided to take a chance and try it. From the first trigger pull I was grinning from ear to ear. The recoil is not as extreme as anyone had explained. I felt like it was no different than 40 or 45. However, the pistol had much more power than either of those calibers. More kin to 45acp than 40, I believe this round is not only a balance of speed and power- but is going to be here for a long, long time. I told all of my buddies that 10mm is like 40 for men- and… it is!\r \r Ultimately, I love the platform, the caliber, the look, and the performance… and I think you will too! Try this and you will not be disappointed.
