I have both the Bud's...
I have both the Bud's Exclusive Tisas MCO and the Springfield "Loaded" Marine Corps Operator. What can I say, I'm a sucker for OD green. I say almost as good, because I have yet to experience4 a single malfunction from my Marine Corps Operator. No break-in period at all. The Springfield and Bud's spec Tisas MCO seem to share a lot of features, ambi-thumb safety, pic rail for lights, Pachmayr wrap around grips. Both pistols are aiming for that late gen MEUSOC M45 aesthetic and feel. I am happy to report that the Bud's Gun's MCO nails the aesthetic and feel. The Tisas MCO punches well above its weight class, and may be one of the best value propositions on the 1911 market. There does seem to be a bit of break in period with this pistol. I run a pretty precise lubrication protocol on 1911s and after an initial clean, I ran my protocol on the MCO and still had a few minor hiccups, failures to feed, failure to battery. This happened initially with my TIsas Raider too. However, it is as accurate as any other 1911 I own, the trigger is decent, and aesthetics are great. If the MCO performance irons out, which I expect and it isn't bad already after only a 100 rounds through it, this will be a solid addition, worthy of carry trust. This isn't just a nice pistol for the price, it's a nice 1911 period. If I have any really issues, it is that Bud's spec'd this thing out and twisted my arm into getting it! Seriously though, I think Tisas, could make their thumb safeties have a little more positive engagement. The retention isn't terrible, but it does feel a. bit mushy. I'd like the positive click and pressure of a Springfield, or Colt here. But it isn't the end of the world. The grip safety is on Tisas is really well tuned. Easily the equal of any Colt or Springfield. I've started recommending this to people looking for their first 1911.

Love the...
Love the configuration. Great clone of the Springfield Marine Corps Operator. Tenifer finish is really nice on the slide. Compared to my other 3 tisas 1911s like the stakeout and raider, the fit is much more loose and the safety plunger is not positive at all. My stakeout is $350 and has a positive safety and a very tight fit. Was hoping I would get more for the extra money I paid for this. I threw a Wilson Combat plunger tube spring and 17lb flatwire recoil spring in and it's much better. Overall, still happy with my purchase.

Got it in to the LGS...
Got it in to the LGS today. Took it home for a inspect and cleaning. Very impressed with the fitments. Love the dark green frame too. Barrel very well fitted as is the bushing. Clean 4.5 to 5# trigger with a crisp reset. Extractor has 2# tension on a shell. Perfect for a new gun as that will wear in a bit with initial use. Finish was perfect. Very happy to see the cera coat wasn't at all too heavy on the frame rails. Slide is a excellent fit and very smooth action. Everything on it tells me it'll be a great pistol at the range. This is my 4th Tisas 1911 and I have been impressed with them all. Thanks to Buds for this special build. Its just like a gen 4 Meusoc before the M45 went into use. A very useful bit of kit! I also want to say a special thanks to Buds customer service. I had a really bad issue when I ordered this in that my initial LGS refused the transfer! With our laws in VA changing, they suddenly decided to just stop. No more transfers (Not even legal ones for non-banned equipment). and it got shipped back to Buds. The lady I spoke to at Buds was incredibly helpful and gave me a timeline of what to expect going forwards. That timeline happened exactly as she laid it out. Today it arrived at a different and more helpful FFL for the transfer. BG check took 5 minutes. Then the drive home to inspect it. 5 stars for Buds and Tisas. Call me a very satisfied customer!
