This was my first...
This was my first purchase of a handgun and the process with Bud's was extremely easy and quick. I had been looking at a number of 1911 .22s for several months and finally landed on the Umarex/Colt Rail. It was a birthday present to myself and I don't think I could have made a better choice. I have had it for three months now and absolutely love it! I have only about 500 rounds through it with bulk Federal and CCI but not a single FTF or FTE with either ammunition. The fit in the hand is perfect and the checked grips make for secure handling. I wish it had an elevation adjustable rear sight but I plan to get a laser sight and attach it to the rail so it is not a big issue.

Unfortunately my...
Unfortunately my experience with this pistol was completely different than the other reviewers here. The gun ran CCI ammo OK, but Winchester and Federal would FTE over 50% of the time. And the magazine also had an issue. When the mag was inserted into the grip, the top round would kick up at an angle, and would jam against the top outside rim of the chamber when the slide was released. This would happen consistently with the mag being inserted with a reasonable amount of force, and I've never had this happen with any other .22 I've ever fired. To avoid this, the mag had to be loaded very delicately with minimal force every time, which takes a lot of the fun out of shooting and renders the pistol essentially useless for training. I sent the mag back to Umarex and asked for a new one (even emailed them pictures of the cocked round in the mag). After a month with about a dozen emails and 2 phone calls, I called a 3rd time and was told "oops, we sent your mag to the wrong customer." They sent it out again, without even an apology for their error and the excessive delays. And of course the new mag was just as bad as the original. I tried using the gun for a few more months and finally got tired of all the FTEs. Considered sending the gun itself back to Umarex, but didn't want to deal with their customer service again. Sold it for $150 less than I paid for it, and bought an M&P 22. The only positives I can mention are the pistol has a beautiful finish, has a rail system (which I like to have on all my pistols) while still having a nice sleek streamlined look, and is very accurate (when it doesn't jam). I'll therefore rate it 2 stars instead of 1, which is being generous.
