I was finally able to...
I was finally able to spend a little time at the range with this pistol today and, overall, I am very pleased. As expected it's a bit small for my hands but not enough to present a problem, and fits my wife's hand very well. As noted in other reviews, the DA trigger pull is very 'stout'. Also, the description says the gun has 3 dot sights, but this one only has two. There is the front sight dot, and a single dot in the bottom center of the rear sight. The great news is, it shoots very well. I'm far from being a great shooter, so when my first 3 shots (at 25') made one ragged hole about 1" high I was very pleased (high because I hadn't yet figured out the correct sight picture for my 2 dot sights). Fun to shoot and shoots well.

I do really like this...
I do really like this pistol. It is heir to a grand legacy in firearm history. It is still a useful gun, but modern designs have left it far behind. I got this one because Walther started making them in black finish and it looks right again. I had a stainless steel example back in the late 1980's. It was the USA made Interarms version. I found the DA trigger pull to be very stout indeed. This new one exhibits a similarly heavy DA pull. Also, I noticed that the Interarms gun delivered exagerated felt recoil. This new version does as well. I don't know why this is the case. It seems inherent in the design somehow. The extended beavertail on the new version has sharp corners on the end that bite into the web of my hand. Overall, it is an uncomfortable gun to shoot. This gun is for those of us who just love the iconic nature of it. It can serve as a defensive pistol, but there are much better choices out there.
