Our SP22 is very...
Our SP22 is very reliable with both target-velocity and high-velocity loads. It's not greatly accurate with HV, but it is plenty accurate with the Remington target loads that I ran through it yesterday. I love the size and shape of the grip, and the size of the front sight blade and the rear notch width. Stripping is not hard, but it does require two tools, which is a lot more involved that that of a Buckmark or S&W 22A (but still easier than a Ruger MKIII -- but then again, what isn't). The only thing I dislike is the trigger. The pull length is very long, and by the time the blade has rotated back and up, your finger has now rolled to the bottom of the blade, and the bottom of the blade is rather sharp. My finger is actually sore after firing a box of ammo. I will have to use a Dremel on the edge and soften it up a bit. The other characteristic of the trigger that I don't care for is that the weight really stacks up at the end of the first stage, and then the second stage is almost non-existent. It's a bit hard to explain, but then again I did get used to it. Whatever you do, don't buy one of these for formal competition use. Overall, not a bad little pistol by any means, and I hope I'll like mine even more after I soften the lower edge of the trigger blade a bit. But for now, I can't give it five stars because of it's barely passable trigger.

Bought the Walther SP22 M1 as my very first handgun, it's very fun to shoot! Trigger pull is long buy easy to get used too. Shot over 300 rounds on the first day at the range with only 3 FTEs, which could have been caused by cheap ammo. Very easy to strip down, take apart and clean. I have no prior experience with guns and this one is straight forward, no problems whatsoever. Comes with an extra mag, some tools and a hard case, and is easily customizable (6" barrel, picatinny rails, laser, etc.) Great value for the money!
