Probably the cheapest...

Probably the cheapest way to get into reloading. The kit works and produces quality ammo. However it is a slow process and there is a lot of pounding with a hammer. I also set off 2 primers with the primer tool (basically seating the primers with a hammer and rod in Lee's jig). I got burnt primer soot on one hand and of course it startled me, but that was it. I was wearing eye protection, of course. \\r\ \\r\ After setting off primers I decided I wanted something else, so I bought the Lee hand press kit. I don't have space for a bench press and the hand press is very compact. I can also use it anywhere. The kit came with the Lee ram prime and I haven't had any trouble with it.\\r\ \\r\ Even though I bought the hand press kit I still use some parts of the Lee Loader kit. I had washed my dirty brass and then tried to decap the primers. On four primers the bottom came out, but the walls of the primers remained stuck in their cases. I used a sheet metal screw to screw into the walls of the stuck primers and was able to pry them out. So now I use the decapper from the Lee Loader Kit to first remove the primers and then wash them, and then size them in the Lee hand press. I don't want dirty brass going through my carbide dies of the Lee hand press.\\r\ \\r\ I also use the flaring tool from the Lee Loader kit, instead of the die from the hand press. It gives me a consistent flare. It's a personal preference. I'm sure the die works just as well.\\r\ \\r\ So I recommend the Lee Loader kit if you want to spend the least amount of money possible or you want something that takes up minimal space. If you want to spend about twice as much but still have a compact set up I would go with the Lee hand press kit.
