I bought the handgun...
I bought the handgun to carry as a back up. Its light weight and comfortable to carry and snag free . The 44 special is manageable in this revolver. I ordered shorter handgrips . I took it to the range and I have no complaints. It worked very well and its very accurate shooting at playing cards @ 3, 5, and 7 seven yards. Thank you Buds for the fast delivery to my FFL dealer.

Excellent service and shipping from Bud's - my dealer received the gun two days after I placed my order. I am fully aware of the trend of some percentage of Charter Arms guns failing a quality check which require a return trip to the factory, so I was prepared for that to get my 21 oz sub-K frame sized .44 Special concealed carry revolver. The operating mechanism is well-finished, locks up tight, has a surprisingly smooth double action and crisp single action, and the bore looks good. Inspection with feeler gauges tell me that all of the revolver elements that matter are well-fitted (cylinder gap, end play, hammer and trigger fit) and won't need to be shimmed. The only somewhat rough parts of the gun are the external contours of the barrel, but that was somewhat expected based upon online reviews. I had planned on replacing the rubber grips, but they fit my hand well and are perfectly fine for IWB carry. This is a gun that is meant to be carried a lot and shot a (relative) little with standard pressure loads - it is what it is and I look forward to tuning loads for this little barker.
