Description
Product Overview
The Chiappa Rhino 50DS is a six-shot .357 Mag revolver designed around an unusually low bore axis. By firing from the bottom chamber of the cylinder, the Rhino helps direct recoil more naturally into the shooter's hand and reduces muzzle rise. Its aluminum frame and steel vent-rib barrel shroud provide a balance of strength and manageable carry weight, while the enclosed hammer system offers snag-resistant handling with double-action and single-action operation. The nickel-plated finish, walnut grips, visible cocked indicator, hexagonal cylinder, and fiber optic front sight complete this distinctive revolver package.
Key Features
- Bottom-cylinder firing system lowers the bore axis to help reduce muzzle rise
- Double-action and single-action operation supports both rapid fire and deliberate shooting
- Six-round cylinder chambered in .357 Mag
- Lightweight aluminum frame with a durable steel vent-rib barrel
- Nickel-plated frame, barrel, and cylinder finish
- Fixed fiber optic front sight paired with a fixed rear sight for quick target acquisition and consistent alignment
The Chiappa Rhino 50DS combines distinctive engineering, manageable handling, and .357 Mag revolver performance in a compact six-shot platform.

Very nice looking,...
Very nice looking, easy shooting, impressively designed revolver. The low bore axis and flat sided cylinder paired with the nickel finish give this a futuristic feel while keeping the overall classy look of a nice revolver. The low bore axis sends the recoil directly into the hand and wrist eliminating the majority of muzzle rise, essentially turning a 38 specials recoil into that of a 380, and a 357 magnum into a 9mm +p at most. This is a great gun for someone looking for something that breaks the traditional revolver mold without being just a gimmick.

When I first laid eyes...
When I first laid eyes on this revolver many years ago, I harbored a fervent desire to own one. After years of anticipation, I've finally managed to get my hands on it, and all I can say is... this thing is awesome, folks! I'm baffled by those who deem it ugly, foolish, or downright silly. That's simply not accurate; this Rhino boasts intelligent design, solid construction, and is an absolute joy to shoot. Physics triumphs in this case; it just makes sense. In a world brimming with black plastic Glocks, Glock clones, or clones of cloned Glocks, the Chiappa Rhino stands out as a shining beacon in the darkness. Treat yourself to a smooth action and shooting experience; give this piece a try, and I guarantee you won't regret it.
