I really like the...
I really like the quality of this revolver. I only have one complaint and that is the front sight being plastic. The screw that held the front sight on was over tightened and sprung and cracked the plastic sight so it was not sitting flat on barrel. I did not even try to shoot the revolver until I made a new sight using steel. After installing steel front sight I sighted in revolver in three shots at 30 yards. After sighting in I shot 6 rounds at 30 yards and held a 1.5" group free hand. If the front sight was steel I would rate 5 star easy.

Happy with the aesthetic qualities but not the durability. Looks and feels quite nice to shoot but the construction is too cheap. Each chamber is a metal sleeve insert within the cylinder body which seems to be some zinc alloy. The issue is, the jet of gas at the cylinder gap upon firing bypasses the harder steel chambers and gas cuts, erodes the body of the cylinder, right around the mouth of each chamber, especially with the 22 WMR cylinder. When shooting you can feel the particulate shorn from the cylinder hitting you in the hands and face. I wish it held up, because it is quite accurate, long barrel and sight radius, with a serviceable single action trigger.

Howdy all- I am a retired firefighter/paramedic with little time on my hands. So, when it comes to having a bit of fun, my wife and I like to go to the pistol range to kill some paper. Through Buds' Guns we acquired several fun revolvers and pistols. The Chiappa SAA 1873 Buntline 12" Long Rifle/22 Magnum/22 WMR Revolver is both accurate and a heck of a fun toy to shoot especially in the 22 Magnum cylinder load. She absolutely enjoyed the feel and ease at which she was hitting black at 10 yards with each shot. Buds was, again, prompt, professional and efficient with the delivery of one of our favorite toys.
