The Cimarron Model P Standard is a faithful reproduction of the early first-generation Colt Single Action Army revolver. Chambered in .45 Colt, this six-shot single-action revolver features an early Colt-style hammer with heavy knurling, two-line patent-date markings, historically styled serial-number placement, and barrel markings sized to mirror the originals. Its forged-steel frame and polished internal working surfaces support smooth operation, while the tuned action provides an approximately 3-pound trigger pull. A one-piece walnut grip completes the traditional configuration.

Okay, this is a really...
Okay, this is a really fun pistol. I bought it along with an 1892 .45 LC lever action from Cimarron so that I'd have a long gun and a pistol that uses the same round.\r \r This piece just works. Very easy shooter. Very little recoil, perhaps due to the weight, but doesn't feel overly heavy for sure. Very accurate. Hint: do not go to the range with a new Glock and this at the same time because you'll try to fire it like a Glock and it doesn't work that way :) (aka too stupid for words, but still having fun)\r \r It is amazingly fun to shoot. It hits what you aim at. For a 'large' caliber piece with a lot of powder, this shoots very easily and does NOT jar your bones. It is so fun that you kind of forget the ammo prices for .45 Colt. The RSOs were happy to give it a go when I offered them a few pieces of free lead and the young guy had an absolutely awesome grouping seconds after picking it up at 30 feet, which is, IMO, perfect old west days range.\r \r I highly recommend this piece for the fun of it. Take down is a bit more involved, but definitely not difficult. Overall, the piece is very well made and it is surprisingly good in the hand. I would happily buy it again if I ever decide to buy the double hostler set-up that you see in old west movies. I want to practice quick draw and shooting at old style beer bottles and tin cans now...
