I am rather...
I am rather disappointed in this revolver. The front sight is to low, with the rear sight bottomed out still prints high. The single action trigger pull is around 5lbs which makes accurate shots difficult. In my opinion a gun in this price range should not need worked on to make it shootable.

First, I have a lot of...
First, I have a lot of revolvers mostly from S&W and this was my first Colt. I bought this on reputation and great reviews from around the web. Hickock45 put it over the top. I chose the Matte finish since I intend to hunt with this gun, I think it's better in the woods than the shiny finish, and it matches my SS rifle nicely. See one in person though, some may not like it. I also have a bead blasted S&W 625 and that is finished a little nicer than the Colt, but I'd only notice if side by side. My first impression of the trigger is that it's a little loose compared to the tight crisp trigger I am used to from S&W. I have since come to appreciate the trigger as different but equally good. It is VERY smooth and breaks at reasonable weights in both DA/SA. I prefer a good DA trigger given the choice and this one does not disappoint. I took it to the range and shot various different hand loads over my Garmin XERO: velocities were as expected and the gun has enough weight to shoot full house 240g bullets to 1500 fps comfortably. (Relative!) I also shot 300g hard-cast and they were good as well. 50 yard accuracy was about normal for a revolver at that range: limited by the shooter and optics. I have since ordered a Python so I guess that tells you I like the Snakes.
