I can't say enough...
I can't say enough nice things about this revolver. It's pretty, it's affordable, it has great sights and it's no airweight. I've run about 100rds through the first one and I love it so much I got one for my dad. He's got about 50 rounds through his. There were a few minor issues, but Diamondback just took care of the problems with no problem at all. They even provided the shipping. The issues were very minor but did require the attention of Diamondback and they simply took care of it, so there's no need to go into more detail. I highly recommend this revolver, I did quite a bit of research on Diamondback vs Smith vs Kimber, and pretty much everybody agreed for the price and the quality this is a fantastic gun. The sights really set it apart from Kimber and Smith. I did purchase a tritium front from XS sights, which is designed for Diamondback SDR, but the original red front sight is still very nice and really catches your eye. The fiber is easily replaceable with a fiber kit from TruGlo or off Ebay, so if you don't like red no problem, clip it out, insert the new fiber, trim it and heat/mushroom the ends. I had my heart set on a Ruger, but the SP101 2" has crappy gutter sights and only 5 shots. The Kimber and Smith are quite a bit more expensive, and you simply get more features on a well made gun. This is no lightweight, it's full stainless steel, and you really appreciate it when shooting .357mag. For me, this gun shoots so nicely and I really have no discomfort at all after 50 rounds. Other's mileage may vary. It's solid in your hand without a death grip and I won't change my grip to anything else, no extensions no wood or micarta. Finally, it's really pretty in full polish. It's not perfect, but I have some compound and rags, and just a few hours of gentle polishing while watching movies really brought out the shine. There are some machine imperfections, but they are basically identical when I compare my gun to my dad's, so their machining is consistent. I give this gun 5 of 5 stars. It's cheap enough you can buy some extra ammo, and maybe get the lifetime warranty from Bud's. It's well worth it IMO. Either way, Diamondback seems to be a really great company.

Great little revolver...
Great little revolver -- 6 shots in a J-Frame sized package, with stock fiber optic sights! The SDR was just added to the California handgun roster in January 2026 for anyone living in the Golden State. Diamondback is really giving S&W some competition nowadays.

I had an SDR a few...
I had an SDR a few months ago but unfortunately, I had to dell it. Ordered a new one from Bud's a little over a month ago. The customer service was second to none and delivery was quick and efficient. It was also about $50 lower than what I paid for my original. It is a gorgeous gun and one I hope I will never let go. Bud's is a great place to get your weapon and a pleasure to deal with.
