This is the best...
This is the best looking gun I have. I had a hard time finding the one I wanted (with the brass trigger guard), but Bud's had it and at a fair price. It arrived at my FFL in 3 days.

The three biggest...
The three biggest differences between this and an original Colt SAA, are the 1860 grip, which makes this gun handle WAY better, and the setback trigger, which if you have fat meaty fingers like me, is very nice if you like to leave your finger in the trigger guard between shots, and the wider, lower hammer, which coupled with the larger grip, makes it very easy to one hand shoot this gun. This is my third Pietta, and all three have been exactly on as far as windage, and a tad low as to elevation. The internals on these guns are like an old pair of boots, they need nothing. I highly recommend this gun if you want a gun that can be shot a lot, and shot well.

If you are considering...
If you are considering a SAA/Peacemaker reproduction, I strongly recommend you spend the extra to upgrade to the Alchimista! The extra length of the 1860 Army style grip transforms the pistol. All of a sudden your pinky finger has a place to go! Go to a local gun shop - or a Bud's location if you're near one! - and try the feel of a standard Peacemaker to the feel of the 1860 Army. [Disregard the difference in loading, it's irrelevant.] Notice the roomy, comfortable, secure hold on the 1860? Makes you wonder why Colt didn't make them this way all along. Combine this with the wide, smooth trigger and the turned down hammer spur on the Alchimista II and you have a sweet shooting revolver. All of this comes with Pietta's crisp action and otherwise fine workmanship. As usual, Bud's shipped the gun fast with their typical excellent service. Wish I could give it an extra star.
