I chose to get one of...
I chose to get one of these over a S&W 617 due to the issues many are having with new 617s and the price of the older 617s being as much or more than new. I have not been disapointed. Not only is the Golden Boy good looking in its own way, but it shoots strait and functions very well...They are very tight guns...even a tiny bit of debris under the ejector plate will make it not want to close. However I only have a couple hundred rounds through this gun so it may loosen up a bit over time and even if not tight is good. The gun is heavy for a 22 but its kind of nice to have a 22 revolver thats solid, all steel and brass not aluminum or some cheap alloy. I find the birds head grip to be just fine for this 22 and my wife can get her hand around it. I purchased the chest holster from the Henry store and it filts like a glove. I think anyone who would like a quality 22 or even a Big Boy (same gun exactly other than the chambering) should give these a serious look. Buds was prompt and shipped to my FFL no hassles.

Henry's revolvers are...
Henry's revolvers are big, solid, and fantastic. I own the .357 version of this beast, and I figured that the .22 would be just as great: I was correct. This revolver is solid, heavy (heavier than the .357 Big Boy, by half an ounce or so, perhaps due to the smaller hole in the barrel: The dimensions betwixt the two chamberings are identical), and the double action is smooth...it doesn't hurt that it looks cool as heck, with the Henry-centric brass elements on the trigger guard. I've bought pistols that are lovely and maybe a little too pretty to take out of the safe and actually use? Henry's revolvers are absolutely fricking gorgeous AND hard as nails: You could carry one in a holster every day, and you're not gonna mess it up. Beauty AND utility.

This is not only a beautiful pistol, it feels great in the hand. The fit and finish is excellent. A great pistol at a surprisingly low price. Buds gun shop web site made finding and purchasing a breeze. Shipping was quick. I've purchased here before and I will be back.
