Here is the amazing...
Here is the amazing the good and the bad of the Golden Boy Revolver in 22LR. First the amazing: It's a beautiful revolver. The dark bluing with the brass and wood is just lovely to look at and the craftsmanship is what you'd expect from Henry. For the good: You can swap out the front blade sight between three different heights depending on your shooting style. For me I found that I preferred the taller blade and changing was as simple as removing a single screw. My only gripe (and it's really minor) is that it could use to have some kind of key-way to make sure the blade is perfectly centered on the barrel. The revolver shoots very well with no light strikes or timing problems. For the Bad: There's really not much other than I had some light rust on the extractor rod from the factory. It's either made from a different alloy or received a different bluing process from the rest of the gun. Going to take extra care to make sure it's oiled periodically to keep ahead of the rust. Things to be aware of, it's heavy as you might expect from a steel, brass and wood gun. I don't really see this as good or bad just something to keep in mind. Also I found that it didn't balance as well as I would have liked but again this is just something to be aware of and will depend on your shooting style. The wood grip is smooth, very smooth and I found it a little hard to hang on to with sweaty hands. I may look to swap out the factory grips for something else when they become available. Over all this is a fine revolver and a beauty to show off at the range. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the purchase and if there's a problem Henry is known for their customer service.

Very nice looking revolver. Trigger isn't great, but not too bad. Ignition was reliable.

Love and and enjoy...
Love and and enjoy this pistol. The construction is "high cotton." Heard a lot of rumblings in the zeitgeist about this revolver costing too much especially for a .22LR. I have yet to see any revolvers that are as well build for less than $700 no matter the caliber. I suspect the newness of the offering is where a lot of the "doubts" come from. The action is smooth and the firearm is accurate. Besides Henry's customer service is, in my opinion, is second to none. So an extremely well built, great shooting revolver, with stellar customer service comes with a premium, which is okay as long as you get what you pay for.
