The Howa Legacy Puma M-1873 is a classic single-action rimfire revolver styled after the Single Action Army. Chambered for both .22 LR and .22 WMR, it includes a magnum cylinder for switching between cartridges. The revolver uses a traditional side loading gate and half-cock hammer, making it a practical training option for Cowboy Action enthusiasts and a versatile companion for camping, hiking, and fishing. Its 5.5-inch barrel, wood grips, blue and black finish, fixed sights, and six-shot cylinder complete the traditional configuration. A key-operated hammer block safety is positioned on the left side of the recoil shield, and the package includes a Bowie knife.

I bought this gun to...
I bought this gun to teach my daughter to shoot and then I intended on selling it. I put over 100 rounds through it without as much as a hiccup. I'm impressed with the accuracy at five yards, the holes were touching and at ten yards it grouped them about the size of a half dollar. The sights are good enough to recover the target quickly and the trigger and hammer were smooth and crisp. The only drawback is the finish on the gun is very poor. I tried to polish it and the black came off rather easily. But for under $300 you can't expect too much...and it comes with a second cylinder for the 22 mag. Over all this is a fun and inexpensive pistol to shoot. An excellent gun for teaching, as it forces you to follow the basics. And you can shoot it all day long without blowing a fortune. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the market for an inexpensive 22 LR//Mag
