I love my 1873 Pietta...
I love my 1873 Pietta 357. It is an excellent replica and fires well. I did have to oil the cylinder so the expired casings came out easier, but other than that I am very pleased. I have two Pietta period pistols, one a 357 and the other a 45 long colt and both fire excellently and they are easy to sight in.

Limited Edition 1873...
Limited Edition 1873 Pietta 357 magnum..Equipped with traditional SAA style hammer mounted firing pin with 4 clicks.The cylinder to barrel gap was perfect from the factory at .002..Nice robust and thick walled non-fluted cylinder..It did not come with a hand tuned action but it isn't bad and improves with use, one can buy custom springs or slick the factory spring if desired, I prefer it as is..A truly beautiful firearm and the brass certainly adds flair..It came assembled well and is straight, 2nd generation style cylinder pin safety (no set screw, it has a strong spring plunger instead)..The grips are polymer and I like them a lot, good color, good texture, and good for shooting.... The only imperfect thing I can find to mention on my gun was the grip fit came 90% perfect. The back strap, bottom, and most of the front of the grip was a perfectly smooth fit.. Directly behind the trigger guard the grip edge mildly protruded, useful as it was but 5 minutes of 220 sandpaper perfects the easily removed grips. (The area the pen is pointing to in picture)..The gun is more accurate than I am. No regrets, I am pleased with this Pietta......
