Bought this for my soon to be 9 yr. old granddaughter, for her birthday. If I can get my wife to give it back. I let her shoot it and she loves it. I myself think it is a hoot and a half to shoot. It is really a shooter. Hammer spring is a lot for small hands as the gun comes from Ruger. First thing I did was get lighter springs from Wolff gun springs. Easy to do and makes it much more easy to cock the hammer. Not cheap but to me is a great gun that will last a lifetime and more. Ruger makes a great gun. Hope if you buy one you will like it as much as I do. Bud's is a great place to buy. Will buy again in the coming year.

After shooting this...
After shooting this gun this weekend, I can honestly say I'm a little mad I hadn't gotten one of these yet. I love it! I'm 56 years old and 6'6" and was always told I was too big for the gun. We have never seen one in a gun shop. I held back buying one online because of the Bearcat sights, but with these adjustable sights, its a matter of whether you can hold the gun or not. I had no problems with a very large hand, and was in fact spurred on watching Hickok45 shoot one on youtube. A little lighter than my Ruger Single ten, its easier to pack and will probably become something I carry regularly out on the farm. Its accurate and easy to handle.
