First of all Bud's is the place I buy all of my firearms and ammo from. Great prices, fast shipping and the customer service people treat you like family. The Ruger stainless Flattop Bisley Blackhawk in. 44 Special is something I have been wanting for years and this one didn't disappoint. Nice finish and very accurate at 25 yards after a 50 round break in....3/4" groups with the federal grain LSWC HP. It's a modern version of Elmer Keith's #5 and I love it.

I'm pretty picky about...
I'm pretty picky about revolvers. Can't find a thing wrong with this one! Cosmetics are way better than expected at this price point. No need for different grips. Barrel/cylinder gap is uniform at .030". Lock-up is perfect on all six chambers. The trigger has only a slight, smooth creep before the very crisp break. There is no thread choke in the barrel. The cylinder throats are very smooth and all measure .431", good for jacketed and plated bullets and perfect for cast bullets. The forcing cone and rifling are very good. The sights were nearly dead-on out of the box and the barrel is clocked perfectly. All this, not surprisingly, results in excellent accuracy. It's like the stars and planets were lined up right when this revolver was made. I highly recommend this gun. I've bought five SA Rugers from Bud's in the last few months without any significant problems with these revolvers. I may just be lucky, or more likely Ruger is doing a good job on recent production.
