I had been looking for...
I had been looking for this Ruger Blackhawk in 45 Colt for some time. I was looking for a blued model, but once I saw this SS model I knew it was mine. This is a great gun, just what I wanted. I became a Buds fan at that moment. The selection is very good, and the shipping worked flawlessly. The gun itself arrived in perfect condition, and looking ready to go. This model also came with an extra 45 ACP cylinder. Since I'm getting older, it's hard to pull the slide back on the ole 45, but that problem is solved with this new Blackhawk.

On a scale of 1 to 10...
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this pistol an 7.5/8. It comes in a "plastic" box that is basically clunky, oversized, useless. The extra cylinder in some bubble wrap, no box or bag!The polishing on the pistol could be better, some areas are "brighter" than others and yu can see faint polishing scratches in some areas. There are very sharp edges on the end of the ejector rod housing that get caught on a leather holster! As well as the side of the hammer. Who ever put this together did not take the time to polish both sides of the hammer, which shows rub marks on one side and a very sharp edge as well.. The Cylinder base pin is also rough, and it takes effort to slide it in and out, more than it should. It should be finished much better

The fit an finish on...
The fit an finish on this sidearm is absolutely amazing. The feel in the hand must be reminiscent of the old cowboy days. The interchangeable cylinders that allow shooting of bulk cost 45 ACP is a great plus as well. All that said it is a great looking gun and gets a lot of looks at the range. Thanks Bud's for another great gun!
