Product Overview
The Ruger Redhawk 05060 is a robust eight-shot double-action revolver chambered in .357 Mag and capable of accepting factory .38 Special cartridges. Its stainless steel frame, cylinder, and 5.5-inch barrel provide durable service for demanding use, while the triple-locking cylinder secures the cylinder at the front, rear, and bottom for positive alignment. A single-spring mechanism supports a smooth trigger pull, and Ruger's transfer bar mechanism provides an added measure of firing security. The revolver is equipped with a colored insert front blade and an adjustable white-outline rear sight, along with comfortable hardwood grips. Three moon clips are included.

I was impressed with...
I was impressed with this firearm years ago, and didn't buy it as I'd bought many others that year. Later it had gone up significantly, and I figured it was a missed opportunity. I did keep my eye on it, and when I saw it at Buds for a lesser price tag than I'd seen for a while, I figured it was time. I used e-check, which does take a little longer but the savings more than covered the transfer fee at my local FFL. To see how well I could handle it, I started with a couple of loads of .38 Special. Very smooth shooting, no real recoil. And did a decent job, staying in a six-inch circle at 10 yards. Then I loaded some .357. WOW! A noticeable recoil, but still manageable. Same accuracy, and even found I hit the bullseye a few times. I'm sure with more practice I can manage the heft of the gun - heavier than what I'm used to, and I've not been shooting for quite a while. I wanted more firepower in a handgun, and this delivers. Point-of-aim true. A great night-stand arm. And its 8-round capacity is nothing but amazing. I am very happy with this purchase, and proud to own it. Buds is almost always my go-to for firearms at the best price, and I'm glad to have found this. My own regret, if it even is one, would I've preferred the 4.2 inch barrel? Well, there's a fix for that... Safe shooting all! If you like this gun... DON'T WAIT!!!
