Just to let you know that the grips displayed in the pictures will probably not be what you will get. I was hoping to get wood grips, but I didn't. That's OK because I like all Ruger grips. I just like Ruger guns so OK.

Great gun for hunting....
Great gun for hunting. I have used it to hunt whitetail deer and wild boar. The gun was scoped for deer hunting and open sights for the boar. The gun is heavy which doesn't bother you if you are in a tree stand. I use a cowboy cross draw rig to hunt the boar. You can save a little money if you are never going to scope it but why not have the option for only a little more?
