The Gun is great…but...
The Gun is great…but not so happy with how long it took to get it. Took entire 7 business days just to get it to shipping. But the gun is the typical Ruger. Built like a tank, made in USA, and looks beautiful. I like the new vaquero a lot more than my Blackhawk. Feels slimmer, sleeker, and lighter in the hand. Points as natural as your own finger. I wish I had bought one years ago! And spending the extra money to get the 45 AUTO cylinder with it is well worth it. You can't shoot HOT 45 Colt loads in the new Vaquero but you can shoot 45acp +P in them which are pretty stout. But no magnum power Colt 45 load. In other words with the 45acp cylinder you aren't limited to the weak " cowboy" 45 Colt ammo….you can put the 45auto cylinder in and safely shoot more powerful 45acp+P self defence loads if you desire. Especially if you plan to carry it for self defence. And it being a Ruger you can safely carry it fully loaded with 6 rounds. No need to load 5 and leave one chamber empty. So the extra cost for the Ruger quality, strength, made in USA, ability to shoot 45 Colt and 45 auto, and safety, is well worth it. I'd do it again.

Have always liked these single action Rugers and this one is no exception. Shooting 45acp is a lot cheaper and just as satisfying. Highly recommended.
