I purchased the S&W...
I purchased the S&W Model 617 to use in competition. I am retired Law-Enforcement and have had numerous Smith and Wesson revolvers. My 617 arrived with numerous defects that will require it to be returned to Smith and Wesson for repair. Issue 1. The rear sight is screwed down so tight I cannot get it to move upward, I do no not want to get a large screwdriver as I may snap the sight screw. Issue 2. The cylinder hangs up on the frame when releasing it via the thumb release. Issue 3 Light Hits because the firing pin does not have enough force to ignite the rim of the rounds. I am using quality CCI Standard Velocity, and Federal Auto Match and having the same issue on a regular basis. Issue 4. Poor finishing, wire wheel marks across the side plate and on the left side at the cylinder release.

One if not the finest...
One if not the finest .22 caliber revolvers to be found for the .22 caliber round. Buds had it i n stock and in less than I week later, I was completing the 4473 at my local dealer for the tranfer. Buds is the Best. All my future purchases will be thru Bud's. They don't dissapoint.
