Excellent weapon....
Excellent weapon. Although the gun weighs a mere 26.3 oz, the 5 " barrel and stainless steel construction make shooting .357 full house magnums comfortable. I gleefully shot 200 grain .357 Magnum WFNGC (from Double Tap Ammo) that leave the 5 " barrel in this gun at around 1270 fps producing about 716 ft-lbs of muzzle energy!! This is a great little "anytime gun" because it can kill deer or black bear at handgun distances, protect you in the woods, be concealable with the right holster (it is a J-frame), and do great service as a home defense weapon. I chronographed about 1675 fps with Double Tap's 125 grain JHP .357 Magnum loads. That is 778 ft-lbs of muzzle energy available for self defense! If you use this gun with Double Tap or Buffalo Bore hot loads you will have a huge smile on your face. Well done Smith and Wesson.
