Ordered the gun, it...
Ordered the gun, it was in my hands in 6 days. Was very happy with the speed of the order. Even though this gun is very expensive, I have no regrets buying it. I purchased the gun for my girlfriend and knew that she would not carry a bulky heavy gun; the main reason why I went with the 340PD. The only cons to this piece is the recoil. 38 rounds aren't to bad but will start taking its toll after a while. Now the 357 rounds are aweful. My hand was throbbing after 5 rounds. Let the gf shoot 38 rounds and it didn't break her wrist. Overall, this is the best consealed revolver out there, in my opinion. Even though pricey, worth every penny!! The gun also has a locking device that comes with two keys, good feature if there are kids around. Awesome gun.

This is a great gun...
This is a great gun for what is made for, a CCW. Pleasure shooting at the range with .357 loads for pleasure you can forget, this thing HURTS, it actualy cut my finger,Another drawback is the price, it is very expencive, it may be strong but how many rounds can you shoout out of this little buggar before it brakes your wrist? So, after I lost most of my guns in the bakruptcy (as well as this 340PD) , I decided to go with S&W 442 instead, I can`t notice any difference in weight, .38 special is much friendlier to shoot, and it has planty of power to get the job done.Price is almost the half of the scandium 340PD, around $400.But this guns are great as a CCW, extremly light and dependable, without a hammer you can use the gun even without taking it out of your pocket. It is very conveniant, I never had a holster for it, on my way thru the door I just slide the thing in my pocket and I`m on my way.I LOVE big boomer, like .44 mag Smith or .454 Casull Taurus and they are fun to shoot but not fun to carry, in the other hand, this little things may not be such a fun to shoot and you may not get any attemtion at the shooting range and you may even, not get any attention from the BG who is trying to rob you, he may even laugh at you if you pull this toy looking thing at him.....until you place that .38 or 357 lug between his eyes, that is... I would definately recommend this gun as a CCW any day, it can always be with you and you wont even feel a thing,it`s like carrying a set of keys..great gun, little expencive but....how much is your life worth to you??? and .44mag wont help you much sitting at home in a drawer....

When all else fails...
When all else fails it's good to know that you have this feather-weight power house loaded with 5 rounds of magnum hollow points as a back-up. It's manageable for practice with .38 specials, but after 10 rounds of .357 magnums the lower pad of my ring finger was so swollen black and blue that I was done for the day.
