A: They have a hammer block preventing the hammer from striking the frame mounted firing pin unless the trigger is pulled which slides the block out of the way. It accomplishes the same thing as a Ruger-esque transfer bar just in the exact opposite way as a transfer bar is slid in between the hammer and firing pin as the trigger is pulled.

A: Hammer block that moves out of the way when the trigger is fully depressed since 1945.
