The cylinder is cut for full moonclips, and the revolver uses a dovetailed red ramp front sight paired with an adjustable white-outlined rear sight. Buds was great as...
Buds was great as usual. When I took delivery, I didn't notice the barrel shroud was slightly canted. This fact didn't allow the ball detent on the yoke to engage properly. The rear sight was also machined crooked into the top strap…. About .010 out of parallel. I contacted S&W, explained everything, wrote everything down and included it with the gun when I sent it in. When I got the gun back, the work order simply said that they replaced the hand. I called again, they said the shroud was "within spec". They would not address the rear sight at all. I asked why they replaced the hand, and they couldn't answer. I really don't know what's going on over there…… my rating is more about quality control and customer service not even trying to care.
