Product Overview
The Taurus 444 Raging Bull is a large-frame double-action revolver chambered in .44 Remington Mag. This model uses a 6.5-inch blued barrel, a six-round cylinder, and a polymer grip for a secure, comfortable hold during extended shooting sessions. Its hand-fitted action contributes to smooth operation, while the three-dot sight system provides a clear sight picture for range use and field applications. The Raging Bull platform also incorporates barrel porting and a cushioned grip design to help reduce the perceived effect of heavy-recoiling .44 Remington Mag loads. Excellent pistol....
Excellent pistol. Locks up tight and is well balanced. Shoots hot loads like a 357 and range loads feel like a 38. Accurate out of the box as well. This is a gun that will be great in the bush or for fun planking at the range.

Prior to purchasing...
Prior to purchasing the product I had some concerns, Taurus hadn't had the greatest reputation for quite some time, several people commented on multiple forums about the lack of quality when receiving the product, I spoke with a few of my friends who own Taurus products, and they had nothing but positive things to say about them, so I decided I'd give it a try. Well, when I made the purchase from Bud's I got the conformation letter in my email, and it stated I would be updated through the entire process...well...I wasn't. I did not get another email from Bud's at all, in fact, the only way I knew the product had been shipped, was I kept a vigilant eye out on the first email sent to me. So, for Bud's that's minus two stars. Once the product DID ship, it arrived in a timely fashion. I paid for the product early Wednesday morning, I picked it up Friday (today) early morning. Not bad. Plus two stars for Buds. Now, the firearm. when I picked it up, first thing I did was inspect it thoroughly, the FFL holder said they didn't like Taurus products because it's hit and miss with them, so I went about the usual tests: Cylinder unlocked just fine, rotated just fine, locked up just fine, only blemish on it is from where I rotated the cylinder so many times making sure it wasn't going to lock up on me, it turned flawlessly both single and double action. The revolver itself is big, even at 6.5" on the barrel, this is a firearm for a man. The soft rubber grips are big, they fit my hand just fine, and are very comfortable. It has a muzzle heavy feel to it, which suits me just fine, the rifling is sharp, and clean, very prominent inside the barrel, and the porting being recessed into the metal just looks awesome. I've not shot it yet, but I've a feeling even with the smaller barrel, I can use it to hunt with. The packaging, as many others have noted isn't much to speak of: It's an orange and white cardboard box. But once you open it, just wow...my revolver came with a carry pouch, soft, gray, nice. It has protection for the rear adjustable sight, and even the keys, and allen wrench had their own carry pouch to match the pouch for the revolver. Documentation is excellent, easily understandable, overall thus far a great buy, I recommend the Raging Bull to anyone wanting a magnum above the .357. Buds, other than the email debacle, delivered as promised. Would I do business with them in the future? Yup. Just hopefully they keep their word about email next time.

I received the gun...
I received the gun yesterday and I was able to take it out to the range. I shot 75 rounds and the only thing I had to do was move the rear sight to the right to get it on target. I ordered the gun from Buds, because I was expecting a quick delivery. The only reason I state this is because it took Buds over a week to get the firearm to my FFL. It takes 3 to 7 business days to ship and I was expecting a quick delivery according to reviews on Buds service, so buyer beware.
