Description
Product Overview
The Taylor's & Company The Hickok Open-Top is a modern snub-nose interpretation of the historic 1871-72 Open Top revolver. Chambered in .38 Special, this single-action revolver uses a case-hardened forged steel frame and a round 3.5-inch barrel. Its front blade sight and rear notch mounted on the barrel provide a traditional sight picture, while the Army-sized walnut grip offers a secure, classic hold. Blued steel grip components and the absence of an ejector rod preserve the streamlined appearance of this distinctive cartridge revolver.

overall a very well made handgun but very stiff and a little gritty in action. Shoots to point of aim. It's worth the money IMO.

I've been looking for...
I've been looking for a revolver with the pre-1873 peacemaker look for some time now, that also fired cartridge ammunition. This was the perfect fit. This revolver made by Uberti is well made. Fit and finish are very good. I've taken it out to the range and fired about 70 rounds of different types of regular 38 special ammo through it. Shoots a little low, but that can be overcome by filing the front sight, or just using adjusting the sight picture. In short, I really like the piece and am glad it was available. I also like dealing with Buds, and have bought other items from them in the past. Nice company to do business with.
