The Adams Arms Base is a lightweight AR-style rifle chambered for both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. Its 14.5-inch government-profile 4150 chrome moly vanadium barrel uses a short-stroke piston system and is finished with QPQ Melonite black nitride for durable corrosion and wear resistance. A pinned Manimal A2 flash hider brings the barrel to the required rifle length while preserving the compact handling of the configuration. The rifle features forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers, an A4 flat-top upper with a 1913 Picatinny rail, M4 feed ramps, a six-position retractable stock, and a two-piece mid-length polymer handguard. Its Kryptek Typhon hydro-coated finish is protected by an automotive-grade clear coat. One 30-round GI aluminum magazine is included.
