Its 20-inch double-lapped, chrome-lined chrome-moly-vanadium barrel features a 1:9 right-hand twist and 1/2x28 muzzle threads, supporting consistent accuracy with suitable .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, fixed black synthetic stock, A2 iron sights, flash suppressor, and tactical two-stage trigger provide a practical configuration modeled on the classic A2 service rifle.

Pure Armalite quality...
Pure Armalite quality and accuracy. Nice fit and finish and feed all ammo well, with the exception of the Wolf steel case. If you are shooting that hard and heavy the chamber gums up a little from the varnish. Not a big deal. If you want a gun for a little more accurate distance this is a good choice. i also have the Armalite M4 and do like that one a little better. Just a personal preference, but the carbine barrel seems more practical for home defense and target plinking. I also prefer the 10 round mags with the 20 inch barrel so you can bench shoot. A high quality dependable smooth feeding AR. I recommend this gun.
