The Barrett MRAD SMR is a modular bolt-action precision rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Its user-changeable barrel system allows the barrel to be removed by loosening two bolts with a standard Torx wrench, simplifying maintenance and supporting caliber conversion with compatible MRAD barrel kits. A fully adjustable match-grade trigger provides a tailored pull, while the fixed synthetic stock includes an adjustable cheek piece for a consistent sight picture. The rifle features an ambidextrous thumb-operated safety, an ambidextrous magazine release, an integral Picatinny rail, and additional receiver mounting provisions at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions.
