Just picked up this firearm yesterday. Have not been to the range yet. Here's what I can tell you so far- this is a well-made firearm that has a number of features that I really like. Being left-handed I really like that the bolt can be configured for either hand. The barrel can be removed and replaced with no loss of zero after sighting-in. The entire trigger assembly can be removed and there is a 'switch" that will let you adjust the trigger pull to one of three weights from 2.6 to 3.3 pounds- without tools. That is pretty handy also. As far as actually switching the bolt handle, there is a little bit of a learning curve. It's not super complicated (the bolt handle is VERY easy) if you just remember not to set the bolt/receiver assembly down too far forward or to the rear before sliding it forward AND to push up on the bolt handle button as you slide the bolt/receiver forward when re-installing it. It's one of those things that, after you've done it once or twice, you have it forever. First time I tried it took about 5 min. Second time took about 30 seconds. Bolt operation is very smooth and simple. I am a big fan of Savage rifles but It's MUCH better than Savage's straight-pull bolt!!! I've tried both. The carbon barrel is sleek and has a slimmer profile than most carbon barrels (in other words, it's not about the size of a broomstick in diameter-LOL!!) and helps make the rifle light and well-balanced in the hand. The rifle balances just in front of the magazine well and the barrel is free floated for better accuracy. The stock is good and solid and doesn't feel cheap like some do. If this rifle shoots as well as all of the reviews I've read so far there's not going to be a lot to dislike about it.
