Bought this rifle in...
Bought this rifle in 2009 to hunt in Africa. It performed well and my hunt was very successful. However, during that hunting trip it was apparent to me that I did not care for the BOSS system. As it also functions as a muzzle break, it makes the rifle report extremely loud. You can put the non-brake device on however. The purpose of the system in theory is to fine tune the harmonics of the barrel in order to get the most accuracy out of the rifle. In practice though I found it to be difficult, time consuming and round wasting to try a increase accuracy using this device. In the end I opted for a Shilen barrel swap and got rid of the BOSS/muzzle break. I found that .375 H&H was not that unpleasant to shoot and the rifle is phenomenally accurate. It is one of my favorites. I give it a 5 now but a 4 with the BOSS
