Love the BL 22 Micro...
Love the BL 22 Micro Midas. The gun quality is excellent and worth every penny. Stock is nicely grained. I'd rather it be mat vs gloss finish but that's ok. Metal finish is polished and bluing is deep and very nice. Browning web site has good photos the represent the gun I have very well: https://www.browning.com/products/firearms/rifles/bl-22/current-production/bl22-micro-midas.html You should be able to copy this link directly if it is not active. The area of mat finish in photos indicates the aluminum parts of the receiver (I had to use a magnet to determine this). I only mention because I have read complaints about aluminum parts. There is zero quality issue with the receiver and the outer steel is not thin. I bought with 7 year old niece and nephew in mind but also for myself. I'm 5-11 with long arms and I like shooting this gun! For a smaller person it will be an excellent fit. The gun is actually a little much for a really young shooter but they will eventually grow into it. I shot the gun once yesterday with sights as set from factory. 2" group shot fairly quickly at 50 yards (I'm 59 and my near vision is not so near any more). The gun is capable of better if I had taken more time. With sights not touched, group was 1.5" directly below point of aim. For my liking, this rifle should have a peep sight to maximize accuracy. I would never install a scope. I will probably get a Skinner peep sight and taller Marbles or Williams front blade to accommodate vertical adjustment. I think I might get close to 1" at 50 yards with this gun and a peep sight. The trigger is a little heavy but I was not bothered by it. The lever is a little stiff when cycling rounds through gun. It is fine though. It cycles easy when hammer is cocked so the hammer spring is the bulk of the effort. I may do something to roughen up the butt plate, as it is smooth and can slip on the shoulder when working the action. Not a big deal. Again, I love the gun, I buy for quality, not price, and this gun adds nicely to my collection of seven Winchester 1894's dating from my mint, never fired 1942 gun.
