The Browning BLR Lightweight 81 Takedown combines fast lever-action handling with a practical takedown design for transport and storage. Its 20-inch barrel and walnut stock provide a traditional hunting-rifle profile, while the detachable box magazine supports reliable feeding of .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The takedown system allows the rifle to be separated quickly using the flush-mounted lever. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a conventional scope, and an optional scout-style mount can attach to the barrel while preserving the barrel-mounted optic position during takedown.
