The finish on the...
The finish on the stock is not even as it has a light discoloration, one inch wide, running from the butt stock to the grip on both sides. I did not notice the discoloration when I examined the rifle at my FFL and it was not until I took the gun home, 10 days later, that I noticed the discoloration under the sunlight. Additionally, horrible accuracy even after adjusting trigger pull to 3 lbs. I followed Browning's "Barrel Breaking-in" instructions to a "t" using Winchester Super X Power Point 140 grains, which yielded 3" groups at 100 yards at best. Then things got worse when I began to sight the gun in using the ammo we intend to hunt with, Hornady's GMX (none lead) 140 grain (none lead is a mandatory in our hunt area). The GMX yielded an average minimum of 7" groups...this after regular bore cleaning and 5-10 minutes between shots to allow barrel to cool off. I installed a new Leupold VX-3 4.5-14X40 scope, using Game Reaper one piece scope ring/mount, low mount...it looks cool, but this is least accurate bolt action rifle I've every purchased. I'm going to try some different ammo, Federal Premium V-Shok Ammunition P708C, 7 mm-08 Remington, Barnes Triple Shock X-Bullet, 140 GR, to see if accuracy improves.
