Its direct-impingement operating system and lighter 7.06-pound build help manage felt recoil, while the 20-inch barrel provides a stable platform for hunting use. The rifle features a carbine-length gas system, A2 synthetic stock, 14-inch M-LOK handguard, muzzle brake, and optics-ready receiver for adding a compatible sighting system. It includes one 5-round aluminum magazine and uses an 11/16x24 threaded muzzle.
