This romanian build is...
This romanian build is fairly good quality. Everything seems to be fit correctly. The parkerized finish is poor quality in booth looks and durability. The wood is a problem. The stock is dented and the butt-plate was just thrown on. Wood on the lower forend is much wider than the piece on the top gas tube. For the price there should be no cosmetic issues period. I am disappointed. The only bright spot is that it does function flawlessly. The action is smooth and reliable. All mags from 4 different manufactures fit tight with zero slop, both steel and polymer. The sights work well with the front mounted with no cant. Luckily the stock and grip can be replaced with better options for modern weapons.

I really like this rpk, I received a model either an offcolor lower grip bit otherwise the gun is well made by cugir in Romania and I am confident I will be happy maintaining this firearm for decades Why buy an ak when you can buy an RPK??
