The Century Arms BFT47 Core is an American-made AK-pattern semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. It features a robust 1.5mm bulged RPK-style receiver paired with a forged barrel trunnion for a durable, heavy-duty build. The 16.5-inch 4150 chrome moly steel barrel has a 14x1 left-hand thread, while the maple wood stock set gives the rifle a traditional appearance. An enhanced safety selector with bolt hold open, enlarged magazine release, left-side scope rail, bayonet lug, sling mounts, and RAK 1 fire control group add practical utility. The rifle includes standard AK sights and one 30-round magazine.

I bought one of these guns fron Buds months ago. I am a fan of the 7.62x39 cartridge, I am ... not ... a fan of the 5.56, for use against anything! They stacked-up in Viet Nam and in my opinion the AK ... walked on ... the M16. Anyway, this is a quality firearm that uses a quality cartridge, at a reasonable price.
