Good looking, well...
Good looking, well balance, and smooth action gun. The only thing I see wrong with the gun is the stock finish has not been sealed. Well worth the money.

When I opened the box...
When I opened the box I found that the receiver was loose in the stock. Not a big deal, five minutes with an allen wrench and that was taken care of. The wood on the stock is great, the grain looks good and the color is perfect. It appears to just be oil stained walnut with no sealer at all. I will be sealing it with some satin poly and taking care of that. The fit and finish is better than what I was expecting for the price. I've got to do some work with the magazines however. The rounds are dragging on the lips of the magazine and not feeding smoothly but a little adjusting on the magazine and I think that problem will go away. As far as accuracy, this is a gem of a rifle, very accurate out of the box with just the iron sights, I've got a scope on the way, and once I get the few issues ironed out I believe this will become one of my favorite rifles to take to the range for some casual plinking. For the price this is a great rifle, sold in the US for a few years as a remington model 5.
