The Century Arms VSKA Tactical is a heavy-duty AK-47 style semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm Soviet. It uses a gas piston system and is built with upgraded steel components, including an S7 steel bolt carrier and feed ramp, plus a tool steel plate front trunnion. For field-ready handling, it comes with wood furniture and a polymer pistol grip, along with standard AKM iron sights and a side scope rail for mounting an optic.

The rifle itself is...
The rifle itself is stout and hefty and well built. Feels very solid and tolerances are tighter than normal so it doesn't sound clanky like a 75 year old 1911. Trigger is a significant upgrade from older AK's. The rear sight is cheap and the elevation selector is loose and wobbly. The finish on the rifle is the same old stuff and has scratches all over it right out of the box, but if you've ever bought an AK before, you know this is typical. It shoots very well and the magazine has no movement once seated in the mag well. The furniture that came on my rifle was not as pictured which was a bummer. It came with extremely blonde furniture, which I hated so I trashed those and replaced with Magpul furniture. Looks great now! All in all, a good rifle that I would trust.
