Buds quickly shipped...
Buds quickly shipped my 1866 and I received it two days after I placed the order. This is not a smaller version of the 1866 Yellow Boy. It is the same size as my 1866 Short Rifle. the only difference is that the .22 LR does not have the receiver loading port. It loads from the front of the tube magazine. The rifle is beautiful and the fit and finish is first rate. The action feeds and cycles smoothly. It ejects the spent shells cleanly. The rifle is very accurate and the sights are easy to pick up. The rifle needed to be cleaned and lubricated before I shot it. The only thing I found unusual is that it will only fire CCI ammo cleanly. If I use any other brands, Remington, Winchester, Armscor, or Aguilla, there are several rounds out of the ten I load that the firing pin strikes, but they do not fire. Any type of CCI ammo never fails to fire on the first strike. The price is worth the quality of the rifle. I have seen several of this model that are used and the asking price is similar to or higher than Buds price. I would not hesitate to recommend this Cimarron 1866 .22 LR as a quality rifle well worth the money.
