This is the fifth...
This is the fifth Uberti lever action I've owned in the last 25 years and seems to be the best one yet. Out of the box the action was pretty smooth and the trigger a crisp 4 pounds. After 75 rounds the action seemed even better. This particular model has the deluxe checkered pistol grip stock and a unique 18" half octagon/half round barrel. The short barrel handles beautifully and I think I'll like it better than my previous "short rifle" 20" model. My Uberti rifles have been trouble free with the exception of my very first one from 1991 that had an extractor problem that was taken care of quickly under warranty. I'll use this rifle for casual fun shooting and occasional Cowboy Action matches.
