The Colt Competition Expert CRE18CA is a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle configured for accuracy-focused shooting and competition. Its 18-inch match-grade stainless steel barrel uses six-groove button rifling with a 1:8 right-hand twist and a .223 Wylde chamber, allowing it to handle both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. A rifle-length gas system, low-profile gas block, and custom Colt muzzle brake contribute to smooth, controllable operation. The forged upper and lower receivers feature a flat-top upper with Picatinny rail space for mounting an optic. Additional components include a nickel-Teflon-coated match trigger, Colt Competition charging handle with Badger Ordnance extended tactical latch, Hogue free-floating handguard and grip, and a Magpul four-position adjustable stock. One 30-round magazine is included.
